Recent studies suggest that patients affected by autism spectrum disorders, treated with a stem cells transplant for another disease, might see a positive impact on autism signs. This innovative project opens the doors to new approaches extremely interesting.<\/p>\n

Study of the role of genetic polymorphism on the clinical evolution of the sickle cell disease<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0Annalisa RUGGIERI \u2013 Paris EUROCORD

This study will allow to calculate the probability to find a compatible donor, but at the same time to choose patients for those transplants are mostly indicated. This study will be based on the data collected by the hospital of Tenon, by the Univesity of Sao Paulo in Brazil and by the reference centre on sickle cell disease in Saint Louis in Senegal.<\/p>\n

Impact of sickle cell disease on the functions of the human placenta<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The project intends to evaluate the impact of the sickle cell disease on pregnancy evolution. \u00a0This original project is about 15 cases of study and the complications which are extremely serious during pregnancy. This study will confirm an already known point of view. The project has been submitted to Cordons de Vie in 2016, but the Scientific Committee put it in stand-by. It has been then amended and submitted again.<\/p>\n

Support for the training of the treatment of sickle-cell disease for African doctors<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The\u00a0funds allocated have financed 2 Mauritanian doctors and 2 Nigerian doctors, who attended the University Diploma of Sickle Cell Disease in Bamako (Mali) in October 2017 at the CRLD: Center for research and control of sickle cell disease.<\/p>\n
