OUR INSPIRATIONS

The birth of the Association came from enriching encounters that have been for us real sources of inspiration:

It is also thanks to exciting encounters that we were able to implement projects:

Inspiring organisations

Centre Scientifique de Monaco

The Centre Scientifique de Monaco, wanted by Prince Rainier III since 1960 and developed by Prince Albert II in 2008, has nowadays 2 major missions, under the chairmanship of Professor Patrick RAMPAL.

On the one hand “protect and conserve marine life” with a team of researchers known worldwide for their work on corals under the direction of Professor Denis GERMAN.

On the other hand, “develop a new field on biomedical research”. This development is organized around three axes:

  • Validation of research projects in connection with the Princess Grace Hospital of Monaco (CHPG), the IM2S, and the cardio-thoracic center of Monaco
  • Interventions of senior researchers in basic and clinical research
  • Establishment of research on cord stem cells with a MONACORD Sickle Cell Observatory set up in Monaco in the first quarter of 2013 under the supervision of Professor Eliane GLUCKMAN

Cordons de vie has close relationship with the CSM, because of Doctor Fabienne Mourou, CSM Board of Directors member, and because of Professor Eliane Gluckman, President of the Scientific Committee of Cordons de Vie.

Diocesan Bioethics Committee

Chairman: Monseigneur Bernard BARSI – Archbishop of Monaco

Composed of 8 members from the medical, pharmaceutical, legal, philosophical and religious fields, the Committee deals with current topics in the field of Bioethics: reflections, interventions, press articles, conferences-debates, congresses, private or public lighting on the questions commonly asked.

It encourages and supports scientific developments that advance humanity while respecting the dignity and life of the human being.

In 2009 the Committee was the organizer, in Monaco, with the APV, the FJL and the FIAMC, of the 2nd international RSCR on the new perspectives of the responsible research on adult stem cells and umbilical cord (500 participants).

THE ASSOCIATION “CORDON DE VIE” HAS BEEN CREATED TO TURN THE HOPES INTO REALITY.
