Treatment of 250 children affected by sickle cell disease, monitored by the Centre of Sickle Cell Disease in Bamako, Mali, directed by Professor Dapa Diallo.

®P.H. Sébastien Darrasse/Realis/DCI

The Research and Fight against Sickle Cell Disease Centre opened in Bamako on March 15th, 2010. It has been created thanks to the joint action of different actors, including the Monaco Government which, with an agreement to finance over the period 2009-2012, has contributed to build infrastructures and to take car of the patients.

Our action concerns the financing and delivering of 250 vaccines destined to children affected by sickle cell disease and who suffered immunodeficiency.

This support is one of the most important objectives of the Association: let the less fortunate to benefit from treatments already experimented that normally they cannot access without an economic support.

Allocated Budget: 10.000 euros

THE ASSOCIATION “CORDON DE VIE” HAS BEEN CREATED TO TURN THE HOPES INTO REALITY.
